MAXIM ULTRA Character Intros: Maxim Ultra
Chris Evans, who has no connection to Maxim Ultra outside my imagination.
MAXIM ULTRA - Our hero…more or less. Max is an interstellar adventurer and independent contractor. Need something found? Max is your man. Did a nasty Thorjin do your sister wrong? Max will find him and bring him to justice. Need an artifact stolen from an ancient temple? Max miiiiiiiiiight be able to help you with that.
One of the few Earthlings zipping around the cosmos, Max headed for the stars at twelve-years-old when he discovered his father’s out of town trips were way, way out of town. After Max’s father died when Max was nineteen, he took over the “family business.” Though Max is fiercely loyal to his friends, he pushed his crew away when he threw in with a less than savory element for the promise of a massive payday. As MAXIM ULTRA opens, Max is hunting down the last member of that shady crew in a bid to make things right.
I chose Chris Evans for Max, because he not only has the look of the character, but he can deliver the level of snark needed to play Max. Because he’s been fantastic as the stoic and noble Captain America for so long, people may have forgotten that Evans is quite the smartass. I haven’t, and that’s why he’s my Max.
