That’s right, faithful readers! The second novel in the Maxim Ultra series, The Old Flame, will release on Amazon on August 20, 2024!

A horrific act of terrorism has taken place on the planet Aval. GAC agent Matthias Glintock has been assigned to the case and video surveillance has pointed him to the number one suspect: Maxim Ultra.

But how? Max has reconnected with an old flame back home on Earth, nowhere near Aval. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop the law and hordes of bounty hunters pursuing him across the galaxy to make him pay for his crime or collect the exorbitant reward.

Now, Max must choose his allies carefully as he attempts to not only save his own neck, but discover just who committed the crime in the first place and bring them to justice.

I'm happy to report that The Old Flame is finally FINISHED! Now, the editing begins. I'm still shooting for a late fall release, but depending on how long the editing takes, we could be looking at Winter 2024. To tide you all over until then, here's the cover! ANNOUNCING...THE OLD FLAME!

Although I made this update on my Facebook page, I figured I should probably make it on my own webpage (DUH). The sequel to Maxim Ultra has been long-gestating, but there is an end in sight!

I'm almost finished with my current draft. I wanted to have it out this spring, to coincide with the 4th Anniversary of the first novel, but that was not meant to be. I've met me and I am NOT a prolific writer. Prolific in IDEAS, yes, but in actually finished material? No. So, I'm probably looking at sometime in the fall.

Also, I haven't forgotten about the Simpson Shortie, The Heist, which tells the story of how Max landed in prison at the start of the first novel. I just have to edit the hell out of that and, of course, I've been devoting my writing time to the next novel. So, that will definitely be out before the sequel, but I'm not sure when.

So, as a reward for my patient readers, I would like to take this opportunity to reveal the title of the next Maxim Ultra novel! (Drumroll, please) The second Maxim Ultra novel title IS...

THE OLD FLAME!
